About Us
Capellic is a digital services company committed to serving nonprofits with integrity, diligence, and strategic and technical excellence.
As a company we build in the practices to our operations that we bring to our projects - continuous improvement and optimization.
And along the way, we’ve built a culture of empathy, safety, and trust in each other and with our clients. This is why our clients and staff stay with us for years.
Capellic was formed as an LLC in 2012. We served only nonprofits and government agencies and continue that to this day. Some of our clients include ASPCA, Easterseals, Operation Smile, USO, UNICEF Canada, Ohio Legal Help, Climate Reality Project, Learning Policy Institute, and many more.
Our Team
Joel Bush, Partner & Lead Strategist
Joel brings over 25 years of experience delivering impactful websites for and providing counsel to some of North America’s most impactful nonprofits, including ASPCA, Operation Smile, USO, UNICEF Canada, Climate Reality Project, and more.
When he’s not working, he’s chasing down his two kids and running… or at least thinking about running. His favorite trip of all time was a four-day hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Joel graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government in 1998.
Stephen Musgrave, Partner & Lead Technologist
Stephen brings over 25 years of web/internet experience and has architected and built dozens of websites and ecommerce marketplaces for nonprofits in the United States and Canada. His career started as an intern at Novell and a stint in Accenture’s TIS division for emerging technologies. Later he joined Live365.com.
Stephen also enjoys running, taking his little one to Austin FC matches, and collecting obscure new wave records. Stephen insists that Barton Springs Pool is the best place in the world! Stephen graduated with honors from San Jose State University in 1997.
Marcela Gallegos, Project Manager
Marcela comes from a strong background in digital project management. Marcela joined Capellic in 2020 taking over project management duties on some of Capellic’s largest and most critical projects. One of her favorite things about the job is being able to help a brand communicate their mission and connect with their audience.
She is PMP certified, a globally recognized professional credential for project managers offered by the PMI.
Prior to Capellic, she worked as PM at a creative digital agency [Oui Will], managing the production and launch of a variety of websites, from startups to more established companies and brand new platforms.

Our Extended Team
Capellic works with amazing, industry-leading consultants to round out its user experience, design, and content strategy work.
Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Capellic is fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in how we recruit and hire new staff. We believe that organizations that prioritize diversity and inclusion have more empathetic, nimble, and creative teams capable of accomplishing more than companies that do not. The end result is a company with happier and more productive employees, better and higher quality service delivery, and a commitment to deliver better solutions to our clients.
It is one thing to say one is committed, but it is another to demonstrate it. We are actively working to implement systemic changes to create a more diverse and equitable company. It is a journey, but one that we are fully committed to.
What else?
Capellic is headquartered in Boise, Idaho. Our team is fully remote and has been since we started. We are in New York, California, Texas, and Idaho.
And what does “Capellic” mean exactly?
Capellic comes from Capella, one of the brightest star systems in the night sky. Capella appears as one big bright star in the sky but is actually two binary sets of stars.
